(KGL) is pleased to announce that Dr. Hong Zhou has joined the organization as Vice President, Product Management, bringing more than a decade of visionary leadership in AI innovation, product strategy, and research technology within the scholarly publishing ecosystem.

Zhou is a recognized industry leader in artificial intelligence, product innovation, and workflow transformation. He most recently served as Senior Director of AI Product & Innovation at Wiley, where he defined Wiley’s AI strategy, delivered award-winning AI-enabled services, and led the design of high-impact technology solutions that streamline and safeguard the research and publishing lifecycle.

He has earned multiple AI accolades, including leading the team that won the 2025 Silver Society for Scholarly Publishing EPIC Award for Excellence in Research Integrity Tools, and receiving an individual honorable mention for the 2024 Academic Publishing in Europe Award for Innovation. Zhou also contributes extensively to the scholarly communication community, serving as a COPE Advisor, Scholarly Kitchen Chef, Co-Chair of ALPSP’s AI Special Interest Group, member of STM’s Future Lab, and Distinguished Expert at China’s National Key Laboratory of Knowledge Mining for Medical Journals.

As VP of Product Management, Zhou will define and execute KGL’s product vision and strategy across its portfolio of end-to-end publishing solutions and services, fostering digital and AI-driven innovation, and ensuring KGL’s products remain strongly aligned with the evolving needs of researchers, librarians, publishers, and the broader scholarly communication community. A key focus will be advancing seamless integration across markets, elevating customer experience journeys, and driving cross-sector innovation that supports KGL’s mission to strengthen global knowledge dissemination.
