Accessibility Webinar Speakers Square Final

As the European Accessibility Act (EAA) deadline approaches in June 2025, publishers face critical decisions to ensure digital content meets accessibility standards designed to ensure content inclusivity. This webinar will unpack the basics and provide actionable insights to navigate compliance. Join us for an in-depth look at what it takes to ensure your publications—whether in PDF, HTML, or ePUB—meet the stringent standards set by the EAA to maintain access to all readers, including individuals with disabilities.

This freeform discussion featuring a publisher, content services provider, and certification authority will address the strategies, best practices, formats, requirements, exceptions, and timelines you need to know to prepare for the EAA effectively. We will cover compatibility with WCAG standards, exceptions for backlist content, alt-text generation, the disproportionate burden clause, and variability among EU member states—for books, journals, magazines, multimedia and more.

With expert guidance on these complex requirements, you’ll leave this webinar equipped to make informed, strategic decisions, positioning your organization to achieve EAA readiness and foster a more inclusive and engaging digital reading experience for all.
