Defining the Future of Creative Content

The London Book Fair (LBF) has long been a cornerstone of the global publishing landscape—a dynamic meeting place where creative minds and industry leaders come together to shape the future of books, media, and storytelling. Celebrating over 50 years of innovation and collaboration, LBF continues to be the premier spring gathering for the international book trade.

This year, KGL and Sheridan are delighted to reconnect with long-standing partners and forge new relationships from March 10–12 at our new location, Stand 5C105 in Olympia West Ground.

Distribute Globally, Print Locally: Insights from Publishers on Cross-Border Printing

Wednesday, 11th Mar, 10:00–10:45 am, International Stage

Ashley Gordon, Vice President, Digital Print Solutions, Sheridan (moderator)
Russ Seton, Senior Director; Global Inventory Operations, Wiley
Cathy Felgar, Executive Director, Publishing Operations, Princeton University Press

With the advent of government regulations, carbon reduction initiatives, and tariffs combined with the continued risk of supply chain disruptions and rising costs, publishers require new production strategies that respond to customer demand reliably, efficiently, and sustainably wherever that demand may be. Such strategies that are successful combine future-focused technology with old-fashioned partnerships. Sophisticated workflows and advancements in inkjet production are enabling printers to meet publishers where they are to provide globally distributed production for local channel consumption, in many case for titles not considered for POD before. This session of publisher and printer partners will explore the benefits, challenges, and best practices of distributed production from a multi-market perspective to help publishers who want to develop their own “Print Local” strategies.
